Step inside Meshary AlNassar’s terracotta-hued Kuwait office
Set inside an abandoned nursery on the coast of Kuwait City, overlooking the Arabian Gulf, is designer Meshary AlNassar’s studio, which he renovated to feel more like a relaxing home than a traditional working space – a direction which AlNassar feels is becoming more prominent (“I think office designs are dramatically breaking away from the corporate structure and more into open collaborative plans that are zoned using furniture instead of walls and barriers,” he says).

The AD100 designer envisioned his new office in City Walk as a conceptual home that speaks to his layered take on contemporary design in the Middle East.
It is a special skill to be able to design any space to look and feel as cosy and intimate as a home. For Kuwaiti interior designer Meshary AlNassar, who makes his debut on our 2024 AD 100 roll call of the region's best design talents, this ability comes naturally. Meshary AlNassar makes art from centuries-old mineral formations
Kuwaiti Interior Architect Meshary AlNassar recently revealed his first capsule collection at Downtown Design, part of Dubai Design Week. The collection introduced unique designs inspired by his grandfather’s architectural masterpiece, as well as childhood centred around gracious gardens.
The pieces combine form, function and a history of natural formations from the precious stones of Ocean Travertino from Rapolano Terme, located within the Italian region of Tuscany.
